The Hype With Rhode

Rhode Skin has taken over the internet with its out-of-home marketing and influencer-hyped skincare line. Over the past two years, Rhode has become a household name, with everyone on the internet vying for the next big thing they plan on releasing, resulting in waitlists of over 100,000 people. For most people, Rhode has lived up to its name and ethos, providing a clean and high-quality skincare line while making it affordable at the same time.

Recently, in my blog post “Does Expensive Skincare Really Work?” I discussed whether investing in skincare is truly worth the money or if you're simply buying it because of the name and marketing. I have gone back and forth on this topic for numerous years, as I always thought the more expensive the product, the better, but I often returned to CeraVe or brands that offer high-quality skincare at a more affordable price.

Recently, I tried a pricier skincare line that my skin did not tolerate well at all. It created bumps on my forehead and worsened my acne post-facial. It was a nightmare. With all that said, I decided to bite the bullet and try Rhode. It was time to see what the hype was all about and determine whether it truly is one of the best skincare brands in the world or just overhyped.

I decided to buy the travel set since it came with everything in the line and allowed me to try each product for a decent amount of time. The first time I tried it, I was shocked by the feeling and the glow it gave me. Everything worked seamlessly, and each product was easy to use step by step. I really enjoyed how each product felt on my skin. By day two, I was already seeing results, and I noticed how my acne was starting to fade.

Now, three days in, all I can say is that I’m loving it, and so is my skin. Granted, it has only been three days, but it's surprising to see such a difference already. I will make sure to update you in a month to share where my skincare journey is at.
